Yeast infections are a result of a mixed pitta and kapha disorder. To heal them, first one has to follow a proper diet, which must not increase either pitta or kapha. Herbal Home Remedies for Yeast Infection

The yeast infection that commonly occurs in the vagina is Candidiasis. It is caused by the fungus Candida albicans. It is white and odorless discharge and causes irritation, burning sensation, pain and swelling. . More commonly seen in women who are obese, diabetic, before or during menstrual period, pregnancy, hormonal changes, stress etc. It takes time to cure in case of diabetic.

• One can also use a few grams of alum mixed in a bucket of water and then again change it to another bucket and pour it over the area. This will reduce the infection.
• Wash the area with Triphala kashayam (in a diluted form). It is also helpful.
• Always maintain personal hygiene. Wear cotton panties. Have bath in warm water by adding neem leaves to it.
• Use clean sanitary pads and keep changing it often.
• Have foods that are cooling to the body. Avoid fried and hot foods.
